As she practised her mindfulness techniques, she smiled at the small irritations, no longer seeing them as obstacles to be exorcised, but as part of her daily reality as someone coping with a chronic health condition. Her mindset, once shrivelled and black, slowly emerged from its womb, broken but vivid, strong and hope-filled.

In order to maintain this new way of living, Pauline Chalamet was adamant about avoiding anxieties, cravings and a restrictive mindset when it came to loving herself and feeling great in her body on a day-to-day basis – even if it included weight gain.
